Starting this weekend, Himera is organizing a new online concert series at Letterpress House in Turku as a way to bridge the distance and to continue our activities. The concerts are organized together with printer Sakari Männistö and they will be live-streamed from his stunningly beautiful printing studio. During the concerts Sakari will prepare a printed poster of the event simultaneously with the concert. Live music & live printing – a perfect combo!
Since the changed reality around us has left us unable to organize concerts and invite guests for the time being, we will start the series in a simple way: we play ourselves. This is our way of offering continuity until we can meet again and invite artists from other locations. In the first concert Himera’s Topias Tiheäsalo will play his selection of “skeleton ballads”. These songs have been hand-picked for these haunting and unusual times. The series will continue later in May – more info on the way!
